NexHealth Support
Communicate in patients' preferred languages with multilingual template translations
Communicate in patients' preferred languages using NexHealth's multilingual translation support in templates.
For patients whose preferred language is something other than English, we've made it simple to send NexHealth's automated communications in other languages.
NexHealth will read a patient's preferred language from your practice management system for Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Open Dental. For other systems, you can edit a patient's preferred language in NexHealth.
To select a patient's preferred language in NexHealth:
1. Search for the patient in the search bar and click the patient's name to open the profile.
2. Click on Actions menu and select Edit patient info.
3. Select the patient's preferred language from the drop-down menu and click Save.
To set up templates to send in another language:
1. Navigate to Templates and select the template you'd like to translate.
2. Click on the pencil icon to the right of the message you want to translate to open the editor.
3. Click on the +Language translations tab at the top of the editor.
4. Locate the desired language from the list of your patients' preferred languages and click on + Translate.
5. Review the message to be sure the translation matches your expectations. Be sure to leave the Smart Commands intact.
6. Repeat for the SMS message (if needed).
Patients whose preferred language matches those set up in the templates will now receive that template in their preferred language -- automatically!
*Note: Any edits made to templates ONLY affect the template on which the edits are made. If you make edits to your English template and would like them to be reflected on all of the other templates, click on Remove the translation from the template editor, and follow steps 3 - 5 above to translate the template(s) again.
And I've used at least 6 others." - Shaye, Falmouth Dentistry
