How to set up Appointment Journeys
NexHealth Appointment Journeys allow you to automate personalized communications for every patient journey. You can now send out appointment-specific pre-procedure instructions, forms based on different procedures or visit types, post appointment messages with care instructions and more.
For example, if a patient schedules a Wisdom Tooth removal, you might want them to receive different pre-appointment instructions in their appointment reminder, and send a post appointment follow up message with important symptoms to watch for. NexHealth Appointment Journeys allow you to set up a Wisdom Tooth Appointment sequence that differentiates the messaging for this patient. The patient can automatically receive specific forms around anesthesia, reminders about what drugs they can take before the procedure, and when they need to start fasting. After the procedure they can receive instructions about foods they can and cannot eat, and symptoms that they should call the office about.
There are three steps to setting up Appointment Journeys:
Step 1: Create the Appointment Type you wish to send different messaging to.
Step 2: Build the EHR map to map the procedure codes associated with that appointment to the Appointment Type you created in Step 1.
Step 3: Create a Template sequence for the Appointment Type you created in Step 1.
